June 24th 1:00-3:00PM - A Little Spot of Feelings - Do you have a little one that has a tough time expressing their feelings? This book helps children not only recognize feelings in themselves, but in others too! A Little SPOT of Feelings is a story about a little Scribble SPOT that is an Emotion Detective. He teaches you all about different emotions and facial expressions so you know how to NAME your FEELINGS. He also shows specific examples of children describing how they are feeling. We will make play-dough of assorted colors, and use googly eyes to make different emotional faces.

July 1st  1:00-3:00PM -  A Little Spot of Flexible Thinking - This story is written to help children who have a hard time adapting to change. Children love routine but sometimes plans changes and they need to be able to easily go with the flow. A Little Flexible Thinking SPOT is a colorfully illustrated story that shows children how to solve problems, look at things in a different way and make it easier to adapt to change. We will practice flexibility by doing yoga, and making stretchy slime.

July 8th 1:00-3:00PM -The True Story of The 3 Little Pigs - This story time will focus on how it feels when no one will listen to us, or believe us and teach some tools and coping for those big feelings. We will build structures with spaghetti, toothpicks and sugar cubes.

July 22nd 1:00-3:00PM - Alexander and the Terrible Horrible No Good Very Bad Day - We are going to read the classic story, talk about our own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad days, and how we get through them (without moving to Australia!). We will do an art project with mixed media to process our bad days. We will dig through sensory bins to "find the good" and talk about how our mindset can change everything, as we often find what we are looking for.

Once registered location details will be sent.
